Laboratory
The Gabrielli Group laboratory is provided with complete and modern equipment for mechanical and chemical analyses; it employs highly qualified personnel and is able to carry out accurate tests at every stage of processing of the material.
Mechanical analyses
Tensile analysis at room temperature with equipment of 100, 150, 250 (completely robotised) and 300 KN –/Hardness /Charpy impact test up to the temperature of -60° C – Bending up to 0T.
Chemical analyses
With spark emission spectrometry (quantometers)
Metallographic analyses
Grain size analysis / inclusions analysis / metallurgic defects analysis.
Surface analyses
Roughness / Measurement of deposited coatings / Coating hardness / Analysis of paint characteristics in pre-painted material.
Corrosion tests
Accelerated corrosion salt spray test
Resistance analysis to accelerated ageing:
Resistance to Xenon-arc lamps (Xenotest) / Resistance to fluorescent UV lamps (QUV test).
All the data resulting from the tests are electronically stored and used to issue the Quality Certificate.
All the appliances in the laboratory have SIT certification issued by the Italian Calibration Institute.
